Archie Kennedy served as Midshipman aboard HMS Justinian and Indefatigable, later as an acting Lieutenant, and as 4th lieutenant aboard HMS Renown. He also was one of the closest friends of young Horatio Hornblower.

A strong, skilled and respected young officer who can a shoot a man with a fintlock pistol like 100 yards away and command the attention of his men.
